And ideally for the management, as soon as possible: bonuses need to be paid!Kamalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17637115231105776944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229618075021986600.post-22744807777885918642012-11-28T19:07:20.374+11:002012-11-28T19:07:20.374+11:00This is still effectively making a key design deci...This is still effectively making a key design decision via a popularity contest. Vision is what the game designers/producers should have to say "this is the game we want to make and why", and my reducing that decision to a popularity contest degrades the value of the content. This question is effectively asking "which would sell more copies" - which then makes one of the most important decisions about the quality and integrity of an artist product (which the Mass Effect team went to pains to remind players were important to them in the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle) based not on the product itself, but on how much money it will make.

Yes, businesses have to make intelligent decisions that will make them a profit, but this question strongly suggests that monetary considerations are more important than artistic ones. That equates to a lack of vision, and that is what I object to.AmstradHerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02313267316109911061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229618075021986600.post-87645090964400031732012-11-28T11:22:54.283+11:002012-11-28T11:22:54.283+11:00The assumption is that Bioware does not already ha...The assumption is that Bioware does not already have a story for both a prequel and for a story for a sequel, and they aren't just asking the fans whether they would rather see the prequel or the sequel.

/not the anonymous poster, or a Bioware fan.Kamalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17637115231105776944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229618075021986600.post-56483009595041692132012-11-27T07:16:23.472+11:002012-11-27T07:16:23.472+11:00There is no assumption here. If the game is going to respect the setting and the lore of the series, then that has an incredible amount of impact on what the game can be about. This is a core part of the vision for a game and is not something that should be decided by a twitter poll.AmstradHerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02313267316109911061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1229618075021986600.post-17606756963098231642012-11-26T22:05:44.316+11:002012-11-26T22:05:44.316+11:00I don't like your assumptions.
